Aleph Rome Hotel
Historic glamour meets contemporary Roman chic. Grand marble banking hall aesthetics, moody cigar lounge, and a rooftop terrace with cocktails and city views. Not a party hotel — more the kind of place you dress up for dinner.
Book the King Prestige Room with Terrace for a private 40 sqm outdoor terrace overlooking Roman rooftops — easily the best value upgrade.
Why It Matters
The building opened as the Central Institute of Savings Bank in 1930, and the hotel conversion preserved key architectural elements including the Cipollino marble, the vault door, and ornate ceiling rosettes. The spa literally occupies the old bank vault in the basement. It's also a member of Historic Hotels Worldwide since 2018.
A former 1930s savings bank turned five-star hotel, the Aleph sits right between Piazza Barberini and Via Veneto — the old La Dolce Vita strip. Hilton's Curio label kept the original marble floors, onyx paneling, and vault door intact, then layered in modern rooms, a rooftop pool, and a spa literally carved out of the old bank caveau. 80 rooms across 6 floors, with the Trevi Fountain a 10-minute walk away.
