One of Prague's most historically loaded addresses, the Alcron has been hosting the famous and the formidable since 1932 — Charlie Chaplin, Winston Churchill, and during the dark years, Joachim von Ribbentrop. After a €20 million renovation and a handover to the Barcelona-based Almanac Hotels group, it reopened in 2023 with the Art Deco bones intact and everything else sharply refreshed. The marble lobby, crystal chandeliers, and geometric ceiling are all still here. The rooms are calm, contemporary, and finished with curated art from local Czech artists. Positioned just steps off Wenceslas Square, you can walk to the Old Town in ten minutes and the National Museum is around the corner.
