Aloft Osaka Dojima opened in June 2021 on the site of the old Dojima Hotel — Marriott's second Aloft in Japan and the first in the Kansai region. It sits right on the Dojima River in the thick of Osaka's Umeda business district, a five-minute walk to Kitashinchi Station and roughly ten to fifteen minutes on foot to Osaka Station. Music and design are the through-line here: bold colors, open-concept rooms, a live-performance bar, and guitars guests can actually pick up in the lounge. No pool, no spa — but the location, the bar, and rooms that are genuinely spacious for Osaka more than compensate.
