Aloft Tainan Anping opened in January 2022 as the first Marriott property in southern Taiwan — and the only one in Tainan. The 12-floor building sits directly opposite the Eternal Golden Castle, with 115 rooms and suites whose design draws from the nautical heritage of the Port of Anping. Think maritime motifs, original artwork by local Tainan artists, and a color palette of white and warm wood. The harbor-facing rooms on higher floors deliver real waterfront views over the Anping Estuary. But here's the thing: the location puts you in a quieter edge of the district rather than downtown, so getting to Tainan's historic core requires a taxi or scooter.
