The original Aman in America. Its intimacy — only 40 suites versus 181 at the neighboring Four Seasons — and position 7,000 feet above sea level on a private butte with unobstructed Teton views sets it apart from anything else in Wyoming. Amangani is Aman's first property in the Americas — and after 26 years atop East Gros Ventre Butte at 7,000 feet, it's still one of the most dramatically sited hotels in North America. Built from Oklahoma sandstone and Pacific redwood, it stares straight down the Snake River Valley toward the Grand Tetons. Just 40 suites, plus a handful of private multi-bedroom homes.
