The beach club is about a 20-minute walk down a dirt path from the main resort — take the complimentary buggy, especially at night

Why It Matters

One of the few Aman resorts in Europe, and the only one in Turkey. The entire property feels hand-built for seclusion: stone pavilions are scattered across a wooded hillside so you almost never see another guest. A three-story Library Tower, 50-metre green marble infinity pool, and a private pebble beach accessible by buggy round out an unusually complete resort.

Amanruya is Aman's Turkish outpost on the serene north coast of the Bodrum Peninsula — a village of free-standing stone pavilions tucked into a hillside of ancient olive groves and pine forest above the Aegean. Every one of the 36 pavilions comes with its own private pool, a traditional mangal charcoal fireplace, and enough space to make you forget the outside world exists. The name says it all: 'Aman' means peace in Sanskrit, 'ruya' means dream in Turkish. Note: the resort is currently closed for significant enhancements — including a new spa, expanded beach club, and new restaurants — with no reopening date yet announced.

Pool Pavilion

The base pavilion category. Each free-standing unit has a private 24–36 sqm pool and garden. Identical hallmarks to the other pavilion categories: stone construction, four-poster bed, fireplace, marble bathroom. Same privacy and space, just without the premium view.

Pool Pavilion Deluxe Sea View

The top category at Amanruya, set on a sheltered hillside with direct Aegean views. The 75 sqm indoor space feels generous by any standard — a canopied four-poster king bed, a separate living area with sofa and writing desk, and a large bathroom with twin vanities and a freestanding soaking tub positioned to share the sea panorama. Outside, a pergola with cushioned daybed and chaise longue flank the private 24–36 sqm pool. Traditional kilim rugs from Istanbul and a mangal charcoal fireplace give it genuine character. Combined indoor/outdoor space reaches 400 sqm.

Pool Pavilion Garden View

The entry-level category, and still a serious room by most standards. These free-standing stone pavilions face inward toward the resort's gardens and olive groves rather than the sea. Each has a private 24–36 sqm pool, four-poster bed, fireplace, and full terrace. Ideal for guests who plan to spend most of their time at the beach club or main pool and aren't fixated on a bay view from their lounger.

Pool Pavilion Partial Sea View

Set on the same sheltered hillside but positioned for a framed rather than full panoramic sea view. Each free-standing pavilion has a private garden and 24–36 sqm pool. Same architectural DNA as the Deluxe Sea View — stone construction, marble floors, four-poster bed, fireplace — but at a slightly more accessible price point.
