Ambassador Hotel Oklahoma City
Historic Art Deco boutique with a cosmopolitan, modern-luxury fit-out. Urban and social — the rooftop bar brings in locals, not just hotel guests.
O Bar is open to the public — locals come for Martini Mondays ($10 featured martinis)
Why It Matters
One of the only true historic adaptive-reuse boutique hotels in Oklahoma City, housed in a 1920s medical building with preserved Art Deco architecture. Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, managed by Dallas-based Coury Hospitality.
The Ambassador OKC lives inside the Osler Building, a U-shaped Art Deco structure built in three phases between 1928 and 1946 — originally home to physicians and a University of Oklahoma Medical School allergy clinic. Coury Hospitality bought the long-vacant building in 2012 and converted it into a 54-room boutique hotel. The original façade and medical insignia above the entry doors survived the renovation, giving the property genuine character that no amount of designer furniture can manufacture. Rooms have oversized windows, white leather headboards, marble bathrooms, and Beekman bath products. The seventh-floor O Bar is the real draw for locals and guests alike — rooftop views of downtown OKC with craft cocktails are hard to beat in this city.
