München Motorworld
Industrial-chic automotive theme. Bauhaus-to-Seventies design sensibility, bold car-era colors, exposed steel, and 111 collector cars in glass display boxes visible from room windows and public spaces. More museum than resort.

Why It Matters
The only hotel of its kind in Bavaria where you can garage your own car or motorbike in a private design garage directly connected to your room. Sitting inside the 45,000 sqm Motorworld complex — a serious destination for automotive culture with vintage cars, premium dealerships, specialty workshops, and major event venues including the internationally renowned Zenith Hall — the hotel offers 24/7 access to the entire complex for guests.
Built inside a landmarked 1916 locomotive hall in Munich-Freimann, this is a hotel that does what it says on the tin: it's genuinely automotive-obsessed. The hall itself is 185 meters long, 90 meters wide, and up to 18 meters high — one of the largest self-supporting historic steel halls in Europe. The hotel's design pulls from two directions: the raw industrial bones of the building (exposed steel girders, intact original structure) and the bold palette of 1960s and 70s car culture, so expect vivid colors and retro-modernist flourishes rather than beige minimalism. The star feature? Three ground-floor studios where you can park your own car or motorcycle in a glass-walled private garage directly adjoined to your room, so you literally sleep next to your vehicle.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The Motorworld complex hosts major events in the internationally known Zenith Hall, the Kohlebunker, the Kesselhaus, and the large Lokhalle — all adjacent to the hotel. Guests attending concerts or events at these venues are literally sleeping on-site. The hotel itself offers 1,475 sqm of conference space with 23 meeting rooms.
Hotel guests get 24/7 access to the full Motorworld complex — 45,000 sqm housing over 30 vehicle brands, 111 glass-boxed collector and premium cars (classics, sports cars, hypercars, race cars), specialist workshops, premium dealerships, and accessory stores. The complex is open free of charge 365 days a year until 10pm for the public; nighttime wandering through the hall when it's quiet is especially atmospheric.
