The Marker Dublin Hotel
Contemporary urban luxury with an Irish design identity. Dark, stylish corridors, floor-to-ceiling windows, Moooi carpets, FOXFORD bedspreads in earthy tones, Carrara marble bathrooms. The ground floor is entirely open-plan — bar flows straight into the restaurant. Think modern Dublin professional mixed with design hotel.

Why It Matters
Anantara's only Irish property and a genuine Dublin landmark. The 23-metre indoor infinity pool is rare for a city-centre hotel. Forbes Street won 'Hotel Restaurant of the Year' at the Good Food Ireland Awards 2024 under chef Gareth Mullins. The rooftop bar delivers 360° views of mountains, sea and city skyline. The spa has been named Dublin Spa of the Year by Irish Tatler and holds a Condé Nast award.
Originally opened in 2013 as The Marker Hotel and acquired by Thai hospitality group Anantara in 2023, this is one of Dublin's most recognisable buildings: a massive white-and-black checkerboard cube sitting right on Grand Canal Square. The architecture is inspired by the geometric patterns of the Irish landscape, from the Burren to the Giant's Causeway, and it works — the building is genuinely striking. Inside, 187 rooms over six floors are furnished with Irish designer pieces and original Irish artwork, the spa has a 23-metre indoor infinity pool (a rarity in any city hotel), and Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins has become one of Dublin's most respected restaurant tables.
