Mexico City Condesa - A Concept by Hyatt
Urban Art Deco boutique luxury with a playful, youthful edge — more rooftop pool party than hushed grand hotel. The aesthetic references Luis Barragán's bold color palette and mid-century Mexican design, layered over Benlliure Galán's 1961 modernist bones.

Why It Matters
First urban Andaz in Mexico, housed in a heritage Art Deco building with INBAL landmark status. Has one of the tallest outdoor terraces in Condesa. Rooms come with Victrola record players and curated vinyl. The Wooftop Beer Garden with an actual enclosed dog run is a genuinely novel amenity.
Andaz Mexico City Condesa opened in January 2023 inside a landmarked 17-floor building from 1961 — the I421 Live District, formerly Conjunto Aristos — designed by Spanish architect José Luis Benlliure Galán, the same person credited with bringing Art Deco to Mexico City. The building is an INBAL-recognized artistic heritage site, which means certain mosaic floors and the Art Deco courtyard fountain are preserved exactly as built. It's the first urban Andaz in Mexico, and it shows: magenta staircases, hot pink walls, saffron sofas, in-room Victrola record players, and volcanic salt spa rituals all make this feel like a hotel that actually cares about its neighborhood rather than just being in it. One important heads-up: the Andaz shares this building with the Mondrian Mexico City, and the entrance and some ground-floor venues belong to the Mondrian — first-timers often get confused.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Modern gym on the second floor adjacent to Pasana Spa. Cardio machines, free weights, and the dedicated yoga room. Clean and well-maintained, though some guests find it on the smaller side. Shared with Mondrian guests.
The hotel features rotating art exhibits in its public spaces, consistent with the Andaz brand philosophy of embedding local artists and cultural references into the guest experience.
The concierge team maintains a list of experiences curated with local tour guides, specifically designed for luxury travelers wanting to explore CDMX beyond the typical sightseeing circuit. Reservations, dining suggestions, and insider tips are a strong suit of the team.
Every room comes with a Victrola record player and a curated selection of modern and classic vinyl, a nod to the neighborhood's oldest record shop, La Roma Records. You can exchange records at the lobby library throughout your stay.
17th-floor infinity-style pool with wide-open views of the Mexico City skyline in three directions. Small and not suited for laps, but servers from Cabuya will take orders while you're in the water. Lounge chairs are limited — arrive early on weekends. Weekend pool parties with DJ sets run through the afternoon and get loud.
An enclosed dog run on the second-floor AstroTurf terrace where dogs can socialize while owners relax with drinks. The Wooftop also has foosball and other games, fire pit seating, and swinging love seats. Open to guests and the general public.
Dedicated yoga and meditation room attached to the Pasana Spa fitness center on the second floor. Good for stretching and quieter practice away from the main gym floor.
