Why It Matters
One of the few luxury resorts in Scottsdale where the art program is actually serious — resident artists from Cattle Track are embedded in the property, and rooms are named after design icons like Eames, Knoll, Saarinen, and Girard. The 23-acre low-rise bungalow layout means it feels nothing like a conventional hotel.
Spread across 23 acres at the foot of Camelback Mountain, Andaz Scottsdale is a mid-century modern desert resort built around 185 private bungalows and suites. Every room has a private patio, outdoor shower access, and art by local artists from the nearby Cattle Track Arts Compound — the design language is Alexander Girard meets Sonoran Desert, bold colour and clean lines all the way. Studio-style suite named for naturalist artist Charley Harper. Eames Bungalow
Named for Charles and Ray Eames, this classic mid-century bungalow features a plush king bed, oversized bathroom, and a private patio with lounge furnishings facing the desert gardens. Desert-inspired artwork by local artists throughout.
