Why It Matters
The property sits on documented sacred ground — it served as a pilgrim hospital as early as 1193, hosted Saint Francis on his deathbed journey in 1226, and functioned as an Augustinian monastery until 1860. A 16th-century fresco of Saints Augustine, Francis, and Anthony still survives in the original church apse. The resort's location below Assisi's walls gives panoramic views of the medieval cityscape you simply can't get from inside the historic center itself.

A step up in both space and drama. At 60 sqm, the Suite opens into a comfortable open-plan living area with large glass wall and panoramic terrace looking straight at Assisi. The separate bedroom has direct access to the bathroom, which upgrades to sauna, Turkish bath, and multifunction shower. Some guests say the long terrace — seemingly suspended in the air — is the best feature of the whole resort. Wall colours vary by unit.
