The Atticus Hotel is a 36-room luxury lifestyle hotel that opened in 2018 in the heart of Historic Downtown McMinnville — Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country, about 40 miles south of Portland. Independently owned by local partners Erin Stephenson, Brian Shea, and GM Ben Perle, it wears its community on every wall: original art by local artists, handcrafted furnishings from Oregon makers, locally sourced coffee and tea, and a restaurant drawing on Pacific Northwest farms and Mediterranean flavors. No two rooms are alike, and that's entirely by design.

Luxe Balcony Suite
The largest standard suite at 734 square feet, and the only room type with a private balcony. The extra space — nearly double the standard Suite — means generous room to spread out, plus everything you'd expect from a luxury Atticus room. Great for a longer stay or anyone who wants outdoor air with their morning coffee from the French press.

Luxury Bunkhouse
Described as the only luxury bunkhouse in the Willamette Valley, and the Atticus isn't underselling it. This 600-square-foot room sleeps up to six and is built for group weekends done right — think bunk beds with proper luxury bedding, a communal setup that encourages staying up late talking, and the same Oregon artisan touches as the rest of the hotel. Bring your five best people.
Micro Studio
The smallest room at the Atticus, inspired by Oregon's tiny house movement. 220 square feet sounds compact, but every inch is intentional — handcrafted mantle fireplace, king bed with a Restonic mattress, local art on every wall, French press coffee, and Pendleton robes. A great option if you're mainly planning to be out exploring and just want a cozy, beautifully designed base.

The top of the house at 1,150 square feet. The Penthouse is designed for up to six guests and comes with a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath layout — ideal for a wedding celebration, a milestone birthday, or anyone who simply wants the grandest room the Atticus has to offer. Expect the same locally sourced art, handcrafted furnishings, and Willamette Valley character as throughout the hotel, just on a considerably larger canvas.
Pet-Friendly Suite
The dedicated pet-friendly option at the Atticus. Same luxury touches as the rest of the property, configured for guests traveling with dogs. The hotel is notably dog-friendly throughout.

At 370 square feet, the Studios are roomier and feel inspired by the loft-style spaces that dot Oregon's historic downtowns. Still one room — no separate bedroom — but the generous footprint makes it feel airy. Fireplace, king bed, local art, wine fridge, and all the standard Atticus touches. Up to two guests.
