Opened in April 2024, AYANNA sits closer to Taiwan than to Tokyo, and it shows: the air is thick with subtropical warmth, the sea runs an almost unreal shade of blue, and the pace slows down the moment you arrive. Each villa faces south with a private heated pool. The materials are part of the story too — the property used sugarcane agricultural waste in its concrete and wall plaster, the first application of this technique in Japan.

The terrace is enormous — over 100 sqm — with a dedicated BBQ area and private pool. Note: this is the only room type without a heated pool function, so plan accordingly if visiting in cooler months. Sleeps up to 6, with extra beds available.

Sauna Suite
Two bedrooms, spacious dining and living area, and the standout feature: a private outdoor sauna and cold plunge bath right on your terrace, alongside the heated private pool. The sauna uses homegrown herbs from the property for a Löyly steam session with a distinctly Miyako aroma. Sea breeze, hot sauna, cold plunge, repeat. This is the most popular room type for wellness-focused guests.
