Why It Matters
One of the very few genuinely design-forward small hotels on Mykonos — Tablet Hotels selected, Michelin Guide listed. Every room has a sea view and pool or hot tub access, which at only 13 rooms means the shared pool area never gets crowded. A Dolby Atmos recording studio is also being added, making it genuinely unusual territory for a 13-room cliff-top hotel.
Bard de Sol — "Poet of the Sun" in loose translation — sits on the cliffs above Agios Stefanos beach, watching over the port with just 13 rooms and suites across three levels. The Cycladic stone exterior is the only rustic thing about it: inside, everything skews sleek, glamorous, and thoroughly contemporary, with minimalist interiors in white, ivory, beige, and black. Most rooms have private outdoor pools or hot tubs; even the simplest Deluxe Room opens directly onto a shared pool with that Aegean view.
