Open since 1925 and still in the same Jeantet Roullet family four generations later, Bellevue Hotel & Spa sits at 1,534 metres in Cogne, right on the edge of Gran Paradiso National Park with direct glacier views. It's the kind of place that earns a Michelin Star in one restaurant and two Michelin Keys for the hotel itself, then turns around and invites you to soak in a 17th-century stone chalet filled with warm milk and honey. The spa alone — 1,200 sqm of pools, saunas, grottoes, and clay caves — is worth the journey.

Two standalone chalets at 48 sqm each, set directly in front of the main building. Each is split over two floors: king-size bedroom and bathroom (shower) upstairs, living room with water fireplace below. Can sleep up to four people.

The largest of the three standalone chalets at 90 sqm. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with a king-size jacuzzi), and a living room with water fireplace. Sleeps up to six — the best option for families or groups.

A step up from Superior in space and finish. Rooms feature wooden furniture and parquet or stone floors with upgraded bathroom amenities.
Deluxe Prestige
The sweet spot in the room hierarchy. All Deluxe Prestige rooms have wooden floors and a wide balcony with a direct sightline to the Gran Paradiso glacier. This is the minimum category worth booking if views matter to you.
Junior Suite
More generous proportions, with either a balcony or terrace and glacier views. Some junior suites include a private hot tub or sauna.
Single / Small Double
Compact rooms — the honesty here is that they are small, but all come with a balcony and views over the Cogne village. Good option if the spa and restaurants are your priority and you want to keep the bill down.
Suite
Three suites located in the newly renovated wing, internally connected to the main building. Spacious, with premium finishes throughout.
Superior
Individually designed rooms with wooden floors (one has stone). Some have balconies; others come with a canopy bed. No two are identical, which is part of the charm.
The Angels' Nest (Il Nido degli Angeli)
The showpiece room. Approximately 80 sqm with a 180° panorama taking in the Sant'Orso meadows, the Gran Paradiso Glacier, and Mont Blanc. The bathtub — on an innovative sliding track — can be pushed outside behind glass walls so you soak under the open sky. There's a water fireplace, a four-poster canopy bed, two en-suite bathrooms, and a covered terrace.

Sommelier Rino Billia oversees approximately 15,000 bottles across 1,600 selections and 2,000 labels from around the world. Visits to the cellar can be arranged.
Cogne is one of Italy's top cross-country ski destinations. The hotel provides a shuttle to ski lifts and the piste network. Free snowshoes also available.
Cogne hosts some of the most famous ice climbing routes in the Alps, including the Lillaz waterfall routes. The hotel can assist with arrangements.
