Why It Matters
One of only 10 rooms, Starpool in-suite private spas, part of the Michelin Guide's curated hotel selection via Tablet Hotels, and a fine dining restaurant with serious culinary ambitions. The property also belongs to Les Collectionneurs, the European hotel and restaurant collection presided over by Alain Ducasse. It's the high-design alternative to the old-money Belle Époque hotels on Lake Como.
A 1950s lakeside residence given a sleek contemporary makeover by architect Giuseppe Manzoni, Bianca Relais sits directly on the shores of Lake Annone, a quieter and far less crowded alternative to Lake Como proper — just minutes from Lecco and about an hour from Milan. Ten rooms only, so it's genuinely intimate. Floor-to-ceiling windows, nature-themed wallpaper, and furniture by Milan-area designers set the tone: minimalist-luxe with real personality. The in-room Starpool steam spas in every suite are a serious differentiator, and the restaurant Bianca sul Lago is making a strong gastronomic statement under Executive Chef Filippo Oggioni.

The entry-level option at Bianca. At 29 sqm it's compact by suite standards but the floor-to-ceiling windows and designer Italian furniture make it feel well above its category. Faces the garden rather than the lake. No in-room spa — this is the trade-off for the lower price point.
