Blue Apple Beach is an 11-room boutique hotel and beach club on the island of Tierra Bomba, 20 minutes by boat from Cartagena. Founded by Portia Hart (British-Trinidadian entrepreneur), it draws its DNA from the French Riviera: chilled rosé, afro-latino DJ sets, and a turquoise-tiled pool facing the sea. And it does all of this as a certified B-Corp, running entirely off-grid on solar power with zero-waste operations. Days here are social and lively; evenings belong to hotel guests alone.

Cabaña (Mamon)
Known as the owner's cabaña, Mamon has the best views of any room in the hotel — sweeping across the garden and out to the sea. Like the other cabañas it has an outdoor shower bathroom and a generous terrace, but without a plunge pool. The terrace comes with a king-size daybed and a dining table. Insiders consider it the most intimate of the standalone units.

The hotel's most popular room type — three spacious standalone thatched cabañas that can be configured for couples or friends. Each has an outdoor shower room, a generous terrace with a private plunge pool, and views across the grounds toward the pool and ocean. Great for groups: two friends or two couples can book adjacent units.
Super King or Twin SinglesPremium Cabaña with Plunge Pool (Manzana & Nispero)
Two premium standalone cabañas — the top pick for honeymooners and anyone who wants the full Blue Apple experience dialed up. Both are entirely glass-fronted, opening onto a private plunge pool. Uniquely, these are the only rooms in the hotel with a full-size outdoor bathtub, alongside the outdoor shower. Views look out over the property and to the sea.

Standard Double (Guanabana & Mangostino)
Two distinct rooms under the 'Standard Double' banner. Guanabana sits on the ground floor of the main house with the largest private terrace of any in-house room, direct access to the outdoor bar, and garden-to-sea views. Mangostino is tucked behind the main house with no sea view, but it does have its own terrace and a personal plunge pool — described by the hotel as the 'flashpacker' pick for guests who want the Blue Apple vibe on a tighter budget.
Super King or Queen + SingleSuperior Double (Papaya)
Set on the upper floor of the converted main house, Papaya is famous among repeat guests for supposedly having the most comfortable bed in the hotel. What it lacks in a private plunge pool it makes up for with a huge wrap-around terrace with daybed and unobstructed sea views. It shares a stairwell with the Lulo room, making it a natural choice for groups wanting an adjoining pair.
