Blue Ocean Hotel & Resort Miyakojima
Intimate Greek-island-meets-tropical-Okinawa boutique resort. White walls, blue water, 24 rooms, golf cart arrivals, and fresh-squeezed orange juice at check-in. Think auberge energy, not big resort.
The Garden View Terrace Suite 1st Floor rooms explicitly have no ocean view — book a 2nd floor Terrace Suite or Royal Villa if that matters to you
Why It Matters
One of very few villa-style boutique properties in Miyakojima where most rooms come with a private rooftop pool, a jacuzzi, and direct views of the Irabu Bridge and the famous Miyako Blue sea. The sole Premium villa at 79 sqm is the only one of its kind at the property. Listed on Tablet Hotels.
A small, white-walled villa resort sitting right at the foot of Irabu Island — the first thing you see after crossing the Irabu Bridge from Miyako Island. Only 24 rooms total, with the majority being villa suites featuring private rooftop pools and jacuzzis. The aesthetic is unmistakably Greek: white architecture, blue accents, palm trees — guests routinely compare it to Santorini or Mykonos. But the cooking is firmly rooted in Okinawa, with a French-trained chef working Miyako wagyu and local reef fish into menus that change nightly.
