Why It Matters
Chianti's original Relais & Châteaux property (since 1992) and still one of its most convincing. The on-site working winery is the home of Vigorello, Italy's first Super Tuscan. Il Poggio Rosso holds a Michelin star and the hotel has Michelin's Two Keys (Excellence in Stay). The property also holds a Michelin Green Star for sustainability. It's essentially a functioning wine estate where the guestrooms happen to be magnificent.

The top of the room hierarchy within the borgo (excluding the private villas). Available on request, with a terrace looking directly over the Chianti vineyards toward Siena's silhouette. KingL'Uliveta Signature Suite
A two-bedroom suite ideal for families or two couples traveling together. Named after the olive grove (uliveto) adjacent to the borgo. Natural-tone luxury furnishings, private bathrooms for each room, and space enough to actually spread out.

One of six named Signature Suites, each with a distinct character. La Legnaia has its own private garden — a genuinely secluded outdoor oasis within the village walls. Named after the old wood store (legnaia) it once occupied.
KingLa Loggia Signature Suite
A bold design choice: freestanding bath positioned in the middle of the bedroom. It works. The room sits within the borgo's covered loggia structure and preserves maximum historic character. Statement piece for guests who appreciate theatrical bathrooms.
KingLa Pieve Signature Suite
Named after the historic village church (pieve) nearby, this suite mixes classic Tuscan character with contemporary finishes. The hidden exclusive alcove is an unusual feature — a private reading or relaxation nook tucked into the medieval stonework.
KingLe Erbe Signature Suite
Two bedrooms overlooking the borgo's herb garden. The private loggia and in-suite wine bar make this a particularly good choice for serious wine lovers who want to settle in. Le Erbe means 'the herbs' — the scent of the adjacent garden drifts through in warm months.

The entry-level room at the borgo, but don't mistake that for basic. Fresh interiors inspired by the Chianti palette — green vines, red earth, blue sky, golden light — with original oak beams in pitched ceilings. The larger of the two estate villas, with nine bedrooms for groups or large families. Fully equipped kitchen, barbecue, and use of the outdoor heated pool. Named for the hamlet of Casanova it overlooks. Borgo San Felice staff remain on call throughout your stay.

A two-bedroom private Tuscan house set within the estate, reached via cypress-lined alleys and olive groves. Secluded and quiet, with its own private pool and vineyard views. Daily breakfast basket delivered each morning. Good for two couples or a small family wanting total privacy while still accessing the hotel's restaurants and spa.
