Borgo San Vincenzo
Contemporary Classic with a wine-country soul. Rustic Tuscan bones — exposed brickwork, ceramic tile floors, ceiling beams — dressed up with Frette linens, Acqua dell'Elba bath products and Nespresso machines. Approachable luxury with a strong sense of place rather than hotel-chain polish.

Why It Matters
Named after St. Vincent, the patron saint of winemaking, and sitting literally in the vineyards — not just near them. It made Travel + Leisure's 2023 IT List, is listed in the Michelin Guide, and is the only boutique property of this calibre on the Strada del Vino Nobile. No spa, no gym, but the wine programming and food culture more than compensate.
An 18th-century farmstead on the Strada del Vino Nobile, Borgo San Vincenzo is a 21-room boutique hotel spread across honey-coloured stone buildings surrounded by Montepulciano's most prestigious Vino Nobile vineyards. The whole place is organized around a wine obsession: rooms are named after oversized bottle formats, the bar is called The Flying Monk, and the experiences team will happily book you wine tours five days running. American-owned and opened in 2022 after a full renovation, it landed on Travel + Leisure's IT List for Best New Hotels in the World almost immediately.
