Bottleworks Hotel Indianapolis
Art Deco industrial turned boutique luxury. Warm terracotta and gold tones run through the public spaces, custom art hangs in every hallway, a lobby billiards table actually gets used, and Sundry & Vice operates as an apothecary-themed cocktail bar tucked into the hotel's lounge. It's the kind of place that takes design seriously without being precious about it.
Ask for a room that doesn't face the Gallery Courtyard if you're staying on a weekend or event night — the hotel's own website flags that some Classic King rooms overlook the event space
Why It Matters
Michelin Key-recognized boutique hotel inside a century-old Coca-Cola bottling plant that's part of a $300 million mixed-use development. Named among TripAdvisor's Top 25 Hotels in the United States (2025 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best), USA Today 10Best Boutique Hotel nationally, and earned a U.S. News & World Report Gold Badge ranking #2 in Indianapolis and Indiana.
The Bottleworks Hotel opened in December 2020 inside Indianapolis's former Coca-Cola bottling plant, and it has become one of the most decorated boutique hotels in the Midwest. The original Art Deco bones — terrazzo floors, loft ceilings, and a white terra-cotta facade — are all still intact, sitting alongside 65"–75" 4K smart TVs and Hunter Labs bath products. It occupies the top two floors of the historic bottling works administration building, right on Mass Ave, one of Indy's best streets for eating and drinking. No pool. But the rooms are genuinely big, the Woodhouse Day Spa has a salt room, and the Pemberton Penthouse comes with its own billiards table and a walk-out veranda.
