Why It Matters
Named for Gala Dalí (Salvador Dalí's wife and muse), the hotel sits directly in front of the Church of Santa Maria in a village Dalí himself called 'the most beautiful in the world.' It's 300m from Port d'Alguer beach and 1.2km from Dalí's house museum at Portlligat — a location you genuinely can't replicate.
Villa Gala is a 14-room, 4-star superior boutique hotel perched above the whitewashed village of Cadaqués on the Cap de Creus peninsula. The whole place is done in whites and blues, Dalí-inspired touches throughout, and every room comes with a balcony or terrace looking out at the sea and the iconic Church of Santa Maria. Bikes are available free of charge to guests. The flat coastal road toward Port Lligat (Dalí's house, 1.2km away) is the obvious route. Also usable for exploring the surrounding mountains.
The hotel manages ticket purchases for Salvador Dalí's House-Museum at Portlligat, 1.2km away. Included as part of the Discover Dalí package or bookable separately through reception. Tickets not included in package pricing.
A private 2-hour boat tour of the Cap de Creus coastline — included in the Cap de Creus sea package or bookable as a standalone through reception.
