Pool Suite Amare is the flagship room — 70 sqm with a private pool and the original estate tannura hearth. Worth the premium.

Why It Matters

Designed entirely by Alessandro Enriquez, one of Sicily's most celebrated fashion designers. The property is a working olive estate that harvests its own oil, grows its own produce, and runs one of the region's most talked-about farm-to-table restaurants. The checkerboard pool has become an icon. Featured in the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels.

A restored 19th-century Sicilian baglio on 10 hectares of centuries-old olive groves, just 2km from UNESCO-listed Noto. The Cancemi family hired Sicilian fashion designer Alessandro Enriquez to design the whole thing, and it shows: bold pop-art prints, handmade Sicilian tiles, furniture from Cassina, Vispring, and Cappellini, and that now-famous red-and-white checkerboard pool. Nine rooms total — three suites in the stone main house and six eco-glamping villas scattered through the olive grove. It is intimate, design-obsessed, and genuinely committed to zero-kilometre cooking.

Overlooks the estate's ancient baglio courtyard. Original antique floors and vaulted ceilings anchor the room's history, while mandarin-patterned wallpaper — a tribute to Sicily's citrus culture — wraps the room around a canopy bed. The only room confirmed as fully accessible for guests with limited mobility.

Eco Glamping Villas (6 units)

Six standalone eco villas spread through the centuries-old olive grove. Each has a private veranda overlooking the Val di Noto hills and sea. Fitted kitchens with cookers allow for self-catering (homemade olive oil provided). Some units feature wood-fired outdoor water tanks and emotional outdoor showers among the trees. The two-storey Domus Viridis is the most romantic, with a Finnish tub. Domus Salvia is painted sage green and sits deepest in the grove for maximum privacy. Some sleep up to five guests. Design follows the same bold, retro-Sicilian aesthetic as the main house.

Junior Suite Geranium

Housed in the old patronal house, next to the Palmento/millstone. This was the master miller's resting place. The reed-and-plaster ceiling was restored by the same craftsman who worked on Noto's cathedral — an extraordinary detail. Sicilian terracotta floors throughout, with geranium-patterned wallpaper that echoes the flowers growing across the estate grounds.

The biggest and most coveted of the three suites, built in what was once the estate's kitchen. The original Sicilian tannura — a traditional brick hearth — is preserved as a centrepiece. Has its own private pool and restored masonry kitchen. The bed is thoughtfully angled to catch views over the olive groves toward the Ionian Sea. Furnished with pieces from Cassina and Cappellini, bespoke lighting by Davide Groppi, and wallpaper by Alessandro Enriquez.
