Acropol by Brown Hotels
Retro-modernist boutique hotel channeling 1960s-70s Athens glamour. Earthy palette of burnt orange, mustard yellow and browns. Think Mad Men meets Greek mythology. Vintage record players and trolley bars in every room, a lobby library, and unabashedly bold design choices throughout.

Why It Matters
First Brown Hotels property in Greece. The building is a genuine 1960s work by Emmanuel Vourekas, a key figure in post-war Athenian architecture, with a striking entrance mural by Pikionis-Koutsogiannis architects inspired by the Palace of King Minos. K-Studio's renovation preserved the modernist bones while adding contemporary comforts. The rooftop is one of the largest in Athens.
The very first Brown Hotel to open in Greece, Brown Acropol is a full-on love letter to Athens in its swinging Sixties and Seventies prime. The building itself is a genuine mid-century artifact, originally designed by modernist architect Emmanuel Vourekas, and design agency K-Studio leaned hard into that legacy — vintage furniture, Greek marble, oak wood, burnt orange and mustard yellow everywhere, and a faintly Mad Men energy that actually works. All 164 rooms sit on Omonia Square, steps from the metro and a reasonable walk to the Acropolis, and the rooftop with four hot tubs and panoramic views of both the Parthenon and Lycabettus Hill is the real headline act.
