The Thursday Nikkei Night (Asian tasting menu by a Nobu-trained chef) is fully gluten-free and books up quickly — reserve via WhatsApp well in advance.

Why It Matters

Owned by the Ferretti fashion family (Aeffe — Alberta Ferretti, Moschino), this is a completely restored 1920s villa originally called Villa Nora. Inaugurated in 2000, it developed an international following among design- and fashion-conscious travelers and earned a Michelin Guide listing. It stands in sharp contrast to the largely undistinguished development along this stretch of the Riviera, and the art collection inside — including Pistoletto and Plessi — adds genuine cultural weight to a beach hotel stay.

A 1920s beachfront villa transformed into a 39-room design hotel by Massimo Ferretti — executive chairman of Aeffe (Alberta Ferretti, Moschino) — and now run by his daughter Federica. The Adriatic Riviera is lined with generic package-holiday towers, which makes Carducci 76 stand out sharply: a quietly chic property with a walled garden, Technogym gym, Turkish bath, and a restaurant serving some of the freshest seafood on the coast. Interiors are smartly minimalist with a Japanese Zen thread, African accents, and furniture the Ferrettis collected on trips to India and Thailand — plus works by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Fabrizio Plessi from Massimo's personal art collection.

Where You'll Stay

7 room types available

Comfort Room
Standard

Comfort Room

The entry-level room at Carducci 76 and the smallest in the house at 22 sqm. Don't let the 'Comfort' label fool you — each one has a distinct architectural accent or decorative detail that sets it apart from the next. Some face the internal garden and its mirror waterfall feature. Wenge wood, light-dark contrasts, and oriental references run through the furnishings and fabrics.

Garden View Superior Room

Same generous 50 sqm footprint as the sea-facing superior rooms, but looking out onto the hotel's walled garden rather than the sea. The zen atmosphere here is arguably stronger — the garden is a serene arrangement of geometry, natural stone, and water features. Some rooms are on multiple levels with wooden ramp staircases up to the sleeping area. A couple have wide terraces.

Jacuzzi Suite

A bold, dramatic suite built around a large in-room whirlpool bath. The colour palette is fiery — deep reds on the walls, dark wood parquet floors, and pale accessories creating a rich visual contrast. The king-size bed is the centrepiece of the sleeping area. It's the most theatrical room in the hotel — not understated, but genuinely striking.

At 50 sqm these are a big step up from the entry rooms — and the sea view makes them the most popular pick. Each one is different from the next, with oriental-style furnishings, striking colour contrasts, and windows that face the blue horizon and the hotel pool. Dyson Supersonic hairdryer included, which is a nice touch.

Sea View Thai Suite

The most architecturally interesting suite in the building, laid out across several levels. A wooden bridge connects the living room — with Thai-style sofas and table — to the bathroom. The bedroom sits at the top with large windows framing direct sea views. Sunrise over the Adriatic from this suite is the real draw. Bath and shower both included.
