Carversville Inn
Theatrical modern-retro. Dark, intimate, and romantic — think Parisian brasserie crossed with a British country inn. Sophisticated dark-colored walls, tasteful artwork, candlelit dining rooms, and an original large fireplace create a 'comfortable, cozy, alluring, and sexy' atmosphere (reviewer quote). The feel is special-occasion without being stiff.

Why It Matters
One of Bucks County's most historically significant buildings — the first public house licensed to serve spirits in what is now Carversville, dating to 1813. The new incarnation was featured in both Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure upon its 2025 reopening. It's a rare find: a genuinely historic property that's been thoughtfully transformed rather than just preserved.
An 1813 federal-style tavern in the tiny village of Carversville, Bucks County — originally called Milton Tavern, then Bird-In-Hand, and eventually the Carversville Inn. After sitting closed for five years, new owners Milan Lint and Mitch Berlin reopened it in May 2025 as a boutique hotel with a French-inspired brasserie at its heart. The renovation is dramatic: dark walls, moody lighting, curated artwork, a roaring fireplace, and linen tablecloths that feel closer to Paris than Pennsylvania.

How you'll actually spend your days.
New Hope (arts, galleries, antiques) is 10 minutes away. Peddler's Village is also within a 10-minute drive. The surrounding Bucks County countryside has hiking trails, the Delaware Canal towpath, and scenic back roads.
The on-site restaurant is itself the primary activity — a proper sit-down French brasserie dinner or weekend brunch in a beautifully renovated historic building.
The Inn hosts private events. The intimate room count and historic setting make it a popular backdrop for anniversaries and milestone celebrations. The restaurant has acknowledged special-occasion guests with champagne and greeting cards.
