Casa Beatnik Country House
Maximalist bohemian luxury. YSL-inspired color and pattern, global artisan craftsmanship, rebellious against the bland. Eclectic without being chaotic — think a well-traveled aesthete's collection of treasures from Milan, Marrakech, Tashkent, and Murano all in one building.
The Chapel Suite is in a separate building from the main house and is the most private room on the property — worth asking about
Why It Matters
Two Michelin Keys — the only hotel with this designation in rural Galicia. Created by Chicago-based Maison Bonhomme (Bonhomme Hospitality Group), it's a proper design statement hotel in a region that's largely off the luxury radar. The property also holds one of Galicia's oldest vines: a 400-year-old Cascón grape, served exclusively by pipette at restaurant Tribu.
A hot-pink 18th-century Galician pazo reimagined as a 20-room adults-only boutique hotel, set on seven acres of ancient vineyards outside Santiago de Compostela. The design is deliberately maximalist — Murano glass chandeliers, Moroccan Beni rugs, Popham cement tiles, and furniture by Molteni&C — landing somewhere between Italian palazzo and Marrakech riad. Two Michelin Keys and two on-site restaurants (one Galician, one Italian-Silk Road) make it a genuine destination, not just a place to sleep.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
Each year the property hosts artists in residence — past residents include Jordi Mollà and Ariana Goitia. Artwork created during residencies is displayed throughout the property.
The concierge team builds full itineraries: yacht charters, local vineyard tastings (including nearby Forjas del Salnés), walking tours of Santiago de Compostela, boat trips on the Sil Canyon, and sailing to Cías Island with gourmet picnic.
The final 15 kilometers of the Camino de Santiago pass close to the property. The hotel can organize pilgrim day passes, post-Camino retreats, or a custom stay for walkers.
Two-day harvest festival starting September 26, 2026. Traditional grape crush by foot, music, cañas & vino breaks, and Michelin-starred dinners by Chef Marcos Campos.
The path of totality for the 2026 total solar eclipse passes directly over Casa Beatnik Country House. The hotel is planning a special eclipse weekend event.
Non-guests can buy a day pass (12:00 to sunset) covering the heated saltwater pool and sunbeds, spa and saunas, tennis and pickleball courts, yoga studio, and gym. Towels included.
Courts framed by vineyards and cypress trees. Open to guests and day-pass holders.
Wander through seven acres of Albariño vineyards, organic gardens of indigenous and tropical plants, jasmine-laced pergolas, and gardenia-lined stone paths.
On Friday and Saturday evenings, DJs play at the Pool House bar overlooking the red-tiled saltwater pool. It doubles as a dance floor into the small hours.
Sommelier Marc leads tastings through the estate's own Albariño bottlings (produced with Rodrigo Méndez of Forjas del Salnés) and small-batch Galician producers. The cellar is housed in a 400-year-old stone lagar. Bookable separately on OpenTable.
