CASA DI LANGA
Contemporary eco-luxury grounded in deep Piedmontese identity. Minimalist-chic interiors, serious wine credentials (sister estates Vietti and Enrico Serafino), farm-to-table dining, and a sustainability ethos that actually shows up in the details — biodegradable room keys, zero single-use plastic, organic mattresses.
The pool is only open mid-May to October — plan accordingly if that's a priority
Why It Matters
One of very few luxury resorts in Italy's most acclaimed wine region, with a Michelin Guide-listed restaurant (Fàula), a 6,000-bottle wine cellar, truffle-hunting on the estate grounds, and genuine Beyond Green sustainability certification. Featured in GQ, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, the Telegraph, and Condé Nast Traveller.
Casa di Langa is a 5-star sustainable resort opened in June 2021 on 42 hectares of rolling Piedmontese hills, squarely in the middle of Barolo, Barbaresco, and Alta Langa wine country — UNESCO World Heritage territory. The architecture deliberately echoes the region's traditional brick barns; inside, it's all oak, terracotta, stone, leather, and glass, with handcrafted king beds made by local Italian artisans. Every single one of the 39 rooms has a private terrace, the restaurant sources from an on-site biodynamic garden, and the property runs on geothermal and photovoltaic energy.
