A restored 17th-century Spanish colonial mansion turned 16-room adults-only boutique hotel, Casa Hoyos sits one block from San Miguel de Allende's main square. Four generations of the Hoyos family have owned the property since Julián Hoyos purchased it in 1938, and the redesign — carried out by A-G Studio's Andrés Gutiérrez — weaves that family history into every detail: sunset-pink tiles drawn from a snake on the Hoyos family crest, corncob-yellow accents from the building's grain-exchange days, artisan-made lamps and tapestries from across Mexico.
