CasaCau
Time-capsule pied-à-terre. Each apartment has a distinct character — primitive naturals in the Studio, installation-art beds in the Corner apartments, golden contemporary furniture alongside ancient marble-chip tile floors. The overall effect is bohemian but precise.

Why It Matters
Michelin-recognised property run by owner Pino Cau, who personally curates Roman itineraries for guests. All six apartments are completely different from one another, all in a historic Roman palazzo steps from the Trevi Fountain. Breakfast is delivered to your door in a market bag each morning. Rates from around €316/night.
Six individually designed apartments inside a 17th-century building, a three-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain. The look is confident and specific: mid-century furniture, fresco-printed headboards, vintage Olivetti typewriters, Sixties-era kitchenettes in turquoise and tangerine. It feels less like a hotel and more like staying at the flat of a very cool Roman friend who has genuinely thought through every detail.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
CasaCau operates as a location for commercial shoots, film production, and events — described on their Facebook page as a 'Virtual Content Studio, Workspot, Film, Shooting, Community space.' The apartments can be used as creative production spaces.
Michelin-recognised host Pino Cau can design a bespoke Roman itinerary for guests — pointing out secret corners, local markets, authentic neighbourhoods and the kind of places that don't appear in tourist guides. A genuinely useful and personal service that goes well beyond a standard concierge.
The property can recommend and arrange walking tours of Rome's neighbourhoods. Hosts have specifically worked with operators like Eating Italy Food Tours for market and food-focused walks around Trastevere and other local districts.
