Why It Matters
One of the few true castle-hotel conversions in Mallorca with a Michelin-starred restaurant on-site. The 200-metre palm-lined avenue arrival and 300-plus acres of unspoiled estate make the setting hard to replicate. Sa Clastra earned its Michelin star in 2024 under Mallorcan chef Jordi Cantó.
A 19th-century castle on a privately owned 132-hectare estate at the foot of the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana. Renovated in 2013 by the Kühne family and relaunched as a Leading Hotels of the World member, it runs just 43 rooms and suites across seven historic stone buildings — which keeps things genuinely intimate. The Michelin-starred Sa Clastra restaurant (awarded in 2024 under Chef Jordi Cantó) and the Bellesa de Claret Spa are the two big draws beyond the setting itself.

The flagship suite at 105 m² — the largest on the estate and the only room configured for up to four guests (with connecting room options). Located in the main castle building with the best views of the estate, a large separate living room, and an oversized marble bathroom with both freestanding tub and rain shower. The 70–80 m² Pool Suites are the property's most sought-after rooms, each with a private outdoor pool, sun deck, lounge chairs, and a shaded dining area. Set in individual stone villas within the estate grounds. The pools are solar-heated (not fully heated), reaching around 22–25°C in October. Therapy dogs permitted here (the only room category where pets are allowed).

Same 37 m² size as the Deluxe Double but with a proper private terrace — think stone-paved outdoor space with lounge chairs and views over the estate and Tramuntana. A meaningful upgrade in outdoor living for the same room-size footprint.

Annual opera concert series held in the castle grounds, featuring performances in collaboration with the Salzburg Festival. In 2026 a single exclusive concert is scheduled for June 18. Dinner and gastronomy included.
Guided e-mountain bike routes on and around the estate, with access into the Tramuntana mountains. The hotel has its own e-bike fleet and works with local partners for curated routes.
The Tramuntana foothills are a serious cycling destination — this is Mallorca, after all, where pro teams come to train. The hotel arranges guided cycling routes at varying difficulty levels.
Self-guided walks through the 132-hectare estate gardens, past the organic vegetable plots, citrus groves, olive trees, lavender beds, and ornamental water features. The manicured Mediterranean garden is the Bellesa Spa's inspiration.
Local guide-led trails through the Tramuntana mountains, rising to over 1,400 metres. Routes are tailored to fitness level. Bookable through the spa menu at €250 for a 2-hour guided session.
