A medieval castle first documented in 1077, Castello La Leccia sits on a hilltop in the heart of Chianti Classico with views that sweep all the way to Siena and San Gimignano. The castle and its outbuildings hold just 12 rooms — small by design — and the whole place runs on a zero-kilometer ethos: wine and olive oil grown on the organic estate, seasonal produce from local Castellina suppliers, and a kitchen that takes it all seriously. Since 2018 it has been owned by the Swiss Sonderegger family, who've kept the intimate, family-run character intact.

Casa Earth Apartment
A recently renovated annexe adjacent to the castle that can sleep up to ten adults. Five double rooms with king-size beds, all with vineyard and olive grove views, contemporary furnishings, and modern finishes — a contrast to the castle's more traditional style. There's a fully equipped central-island kitchen used for cooking classes. Independent entrance. Best for groups, families, or those who want more self-contained space.
Classic Room
The entry-level option, and still charming. These rooms are ideal for two people with wooden floors, beamed ceilings, pastel colours, and furniture crafted by a Florentine artisan. Small — 16 to 23 m² — but thoughtfully done. All have countryside views.

The top tier in the castle, ranging 30 to 48 m² with wide countryside views. Each room is individually designed. The step-up amenities include bathrobes, a docking station for Apple and Android devices, and the option of a bathtub rather than just a shower.

A step up in space at 25–28 m². Same warm aesthetic — beams, pastel tones, artisan furnishings — but with more breathing room. Some rooms have connecting options available on request, making them useful for families.
