Request an exterior-facing room if you want natural daylight — inner courtyard rooms can feel darker

Why It Matters

One of the most architecturally significant hotels in Andalusia's less-visited but deeply impressive Renaissance town. Featured in the 2025 Michelin Guide Hotels selection. The three-gallery central courtyard — where breakfast is served — is genuinely extraordinary. Ranked #2 of 7 hotels in Baeza on TripAdvisor with 320+ reviews.

A 16th-century Gothic-style palace — originally the residence of the Counts of Garciez — converted into a 30-room boutique hotel sitting on Calle San Pablo in the dead centre of Baeza's UNESCO World Heritage old town. The exterior is severe Andalusian stone. Step inside and the coffered entrance ceilings, restored beamed rooms, and a grand three-gallery central courtyard do all the talking. Cetina Hotels took over and rebranded from the original 'Palacio de los Salcedo' name in early 2023, adding modern comforts while keeping the period furniture and historic bones intact.
