Why It Matters
A registered historic monument with actual 16th-century bones — Renaissance chimneys, hand-carved staircases, and a direct connection to one of France's most dramatic royal conspiracies. Now part of the ChâteauZen Collection after a 2022 ownership change.
A 16th-century château that served as a Protestant stronghold during the 1560 Amboise Conspiracy, now a 17-room hotel sitting on a 24-hectare estate of manicured French gardens, woodland, and Vouvray vineyards. The rooms are split between the main château and the adjacent Clock Pavilion, and the whole place leans into its history: think antique furniture, canopy beds, and stained-glass windows. It's a genuine castle stay, not a theme-park version of one.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Over 300 km of cycling paths and small roads link Loire châteaux. Bike hire is available and the terrain from Noizay is gentle and well-signposted.
24 hectares of manicured French parterre gardens, woodland, and vineyards. The estate is large enough to spend an afternoon simply wandering. A named walk down Rue François-Poulenc leads past the composer's former house, troglodyte cave dwellings, and open countryside.
Helicopter tours of the Loire Valley châteaux can be arranged for guests and corporate groups.
The hotel can arrange hot air balloon flights over the Loire châteaux from Amboise or Chenonceau — a favourite excursion from the property.
A walled, private outdoor pool heated and open April–September. No neighbouring overlooking structures — genuinely secluded. Loungers and beach umbrellas provided at no extra cost.
A full outdoor tennis court available to guests at no charge. Equipment can be arranged with reception.
