A genuine 18th-century château built in 1720, set in 3-4 hectares of parkland dotted with Lebanese cedars and sequoias, about 5 minutes outside Bayeux. The 25 rooms are split between the original château and a renovated manor house — the manor side is freshly updated with contemporary elegance, while the château side keeps its period charm intact. The big draws here are the Michelin-listed restaurant Le 1720, a glass-roofed indoor pool heated year-round to 32°C, and a location that puts the D-Day beaches about 30 minutes away.
