Why It Matters
A Tudor manor in the French countryside — that alone is worth explaining. Built in 1889 as a literal wedding present — a prosperous local businessman constructed this Tudor-style manor for his fiancée on land once belonging to the Marquis de Foucault. The result is a genuinely eccentric country house set in 7 hectares of parkland and woodland in the Dordogne countryside. Owners Stéphane and Laïla run it as a serious maison d'hôtes: small, personal, and focused on the table d'hôtes experience around the château's original dining room.

M Room
Contemporary and stylish double rooms with king bed and views either onto the park or the private woodland. Tall windows, Nespresso machine, and all the core amenities. No children permitted. Multiple rooms in this category, with some variation in floor level and view.
King
S Room
The entry-level room — on the second floor with lower ceilings than the first-floor rooms, but with far-reaching views and plenty of character. Modern contemporary design with king bed. Smaller footprint than the M and XL rooms but includes all the core features. The best budget option at the château. No children permitted.

XL Room
The top pick in the house. At 40 sq.m. with a king bed, park views, and an original 19th-century fireplace, this is the most spacious option. One XL room has a private balcony overlooking the grounds — that one requires direct contact to book. First-floor château feel with high ceilings. Children aged 10 and over allowed (€50/day supplement). An extra bed can be added.
