Why It Matters
One of only a handful of Czech properties to earn a Michelin Key. It was the Czech Republic's first five-star eco hotel and won the World Travel Awards 'World's Leading Green Hotel' in 2008. The house-made Mcely Bouquet organic cosmetics — blended on-site by the owner — are the backbone of the spa and available to purchase. The Alchemist Club wine cellar, the tower library with 18th-century scientific instruments, and a rooftop observatory make it genuinely distinctive beyond the room count.
A 17th-century Baroque hunting lodge turned five-star hotel, Chateau Mcely sits on the edge of the St. George Forest about an hour northeast of Prague. The 24 individually named rooms go hard on old-world atmosphere: chandeliers, wrought iron beds, writing desks. But the place is far from a museum — the eco-chic philosophy is real, with house-blended organic cosmetics, a natural bio-lake for swimming, and a rooftop astronomical observatory that most luxury hotels wouldn't think to include.

Agape Presidential Suite
The crown of the chateau, occupying the tower on the third floor. At 111 sqm it is the property's largest accommodation. The loft layout includes two bedrooms, a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, a designer spiral staircase, and a reading nook — plus wraparound views of the English park on the east, south, and west sides. Exclusively direct-book only.

Deluxe Room
Three rooms in this category: the Europe and Northern Seas rooms on the first (World) floor, and the Wings of Fame room on the second (Time) floor. Two can be configured as twins. At 25 sqm they are compact but smartly furnished, with bathtubs and park views.

Junior Suite
Mid-tier suite option at the chateau, offering more space than the Deluxe rooms and individually styled in keeping with either the World or Time floor themes.
Legend Suite
One of the two top-tier suites exclusively bookable via the hotel's own website. Details on the exact configuration are reserved for direct bookers, but it sits in the premium suite tier alongside the Agape.
Luxury Suite
Five suites in this category — Orient, Africa, Southern Seas, America (all on the first/World floor), and Mark Twain (second/Time floor). At 39.5–48 sqm with American King beds, they can accommodate a third adult or family with children using the sofa (except Orient). The themed decor here is at its most immersive.
