Why It Matters
The only resort in the Maldives with a surf simulator. The Cheval Blanc Spa sits on its own dedicated island and is the only place in the Maldives offering Guerlain rituals. Le 1947, named after Château Cheval Blanc's most storied vintage, serves a 12-course French dégustation menu in a tropical garden. The Private Island villa is its own one-hectare property with a 25-metre pool and dedicated live-in staff.
Cheval Blanc Randheli is an LVMH-owned private island resort in the Noonu Atoll — one of the Maldives' more remote atolls, about 40 minutes from Malé by seaplane. Opened in 2013 and designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, the resort spans five islands with 46 villas, each with a private infinity pool. Think loft-scale interiors with monumental swiveling oak doors, driftwood-and-shell aesthetics, and original artwork you can actually buy off the wall.

Cheval Blanc Randheli Private Island
A one-hectare island all to yourself. Four bedrooms plus a separate one-bedroom guest cottage, making it technically a five-bedroom compound. The master suite has bird's-eye panoramas of the sea, double bathrooms, and dressing rooms. A 25-metre pool, three successive reception rooms, private beaches, al-fresco dining pergola, meditation pavilions, a private spa treatment room, fitness centre, and screening room are all included. A dedicated team — including private chefs and a butler — lives on the island round the clock. Accessible only by private jetty.
