Columns
Maximalist Southern Gothic meets considered design — original mahogany staircase with domed stained-glass skylight, antique four-poster beds, Le Labo toiletries, and a neon-lit 'confession' booth sharing space with crystal chandeliers. Theatrical but grounded in the building's bones.

Why It Matters
One of the only remaining examples of large Italianate homes designed by architect Thomas Sully, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The bar is a genuine neighborhood institution. Earned a Michelin Key in both 2024 and 2025. Sister property to Hotel Henrietta next door.
A 1883 Italianate mansion on St. Charles Avenue that went from tobacco merchant's private home to wartime boardinghouse to one of New Orleans' most recognized hotel bars. Reimagined by owner Jayson Seidman of Sandstone Hospitality after a 2019 acquisition, the 20-room property holds a Michelin Key (2024 and 2025) and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The bar and restaurant are bona fide city institutions, drawing locals and guests in equal measure.
