Island
Eco-luxury island escape — think Tulum aesthetics (natural materials, indoor-outdoor living) meets Caribbean wildlife sanctuary. Completely adults-only, all-inclusive, and completely off-grid in feel.
The Sunclub is where the evening happens — get there early for the best sunset spot
Why It Matters
The only hotel on a privately managed eco-island 20 km off Cartagena. Originally opened in 2021 as an invite-only experience, it went public in March 2025. Designed by Colombian architect Mauricio Galeano with boat-shaped bungalows built from guadua and bahareque — local techniques that blend into the forest. Holds the world's first Oceanic Global 3-star Blue Seal for eliminating single-use plastics at scale.
Corona Island is a 10-bungalow eco-resort on a small private island in Colombia's Rosario Islands, owned and operated by Corona beer's parent company AB InBev. The whole island is the hotel — there is nothing else here. Boat-shaped bungalows, each with a private jacuzzi, line the western ridge so every sunset lands directly in your lap. The island is the world's first to receive Oceanic Global's three-star plastic-free Blue Seal, runs entirely on solar energy, and is home to titi monkeys, macaws, sea turtles, and coral reefs.
