Costantinopoli 104 occupies the 19th-century palazzo of the Marquises Spinelli di Fuscaldo — the ancestral crests still sit above the arched entrance gateway. Step through that gate and the chaos of Naples disappears: red cyclamen, shady palms, and a small garden pool replace the scooters and noise outside. Nineteen rooms and suites spread across the original villa and an adjoining wing, decorated in restful pastels with wide beds, contemporary art, and the original Art Nouveau stained-glass windows still in place.

Classic Room
The entry-level rooms, and still comfortable. Decorated in restful pastel tones — pale green, buttery yellow, peachy pink — with floor-length curtains, patterned floor tiles, and bespoke contemporary art. Desks hide a minibar with chilled glasses. Bathrooms have Calabrian marble walls and bathtubs with overhead showers. Rooms in the main house (first and second floors) are preferable to those in the lower garden wing, which are plainer. Ask for an upper-floor room that opens onto the raised sun terrace.

Garden Suite
Located in the newer lower wing directly alongside the garden and pool. Spacious layout with a sofabed and kingsize bed in adjoining arched alcoves. Has its own terrace. Slightly less atmospheric than the rooms in the main historic house — the wing is newer and less rich in original detail — but the pool access is immediate and the space is generous.
Junior Suite
Split across two levels with a sitting area and pull-out sofabed on the lower floor, and a cosy beamed bedroom reached by slender slate steps above. The ceiling height means these never feel claustrophobic. Some have four-poster beds and some have private garden terraces. Good choice for a couple traveling with one or two children.
