Country House Villadorata
Understated eco-luxury with a slow-living, back-to-the-land philosophy. Think natural wood and stone, olive-green walls, Vitra Eames chairs in the dining room, and Officine Villadorata bath products made from estate-grown olive oil. Rustic roots, contemporary finish.
Eco Suites are the sweet spot: cubic design, floor-to-ceiling windows, private plunge pool, and they cost less than the Pool Suites.
Why It Matters
Michelin Key award winner (2024–2025). The estate generates 99% of its own electricity via solar. Biodynamic farming across all 23 hectares. Sister property to Seven Rooms Villadorata inside Palazzo Nicolaci in Noto's historic centre. Runs a wine cellar, produces its own olive oil, and partners with local social cooperatives for kitchen staffing.
A restored late 19th-century palmento (grape-crushing estate) spread across 23 hectares of biodynamically farmed Sicilian countryside, just 10 minutes from Noto's baroque centre. Country House Villadorata runs almost entirely on its own solar energy — 99% of the estate's power comes from its photovoltaic system — and grows its own olives, almonds, citrus, and wine grapes. Rooms range from garden terraces to cubic eco-lodges with private plunge pools, and the on-site restaurant Orti Villadorata is one of the best in the area.
