Creekside Villa
Mid-century retro meets mountain lodge. Think vinyl record collection in the communal lounge, cowhide rugs, Marshall amps as decor, and a wood-burning stone fireplace. Intimate and personality-driven.
The steam room is only open from October 15 — plan accordingly if that's a draw for you
Why It Matters
Listed on both Tablet Hotels and the MICHELIN Guide. One of very few true boutique properties in Canmore — 12 rooms only, personally run, with a consistent character that larger resort hotels can't replicate. The on-site restaurant heritage (Devil's Table, then One Love Caribbean Café) brought authentic Caribbean cooking to the Rockies, and the current ownership has layered in a wellness and retreat programming dimension.
Creekside Villa is a 12-room boutique lodge sitting above Cougar Creek on the quieter Benchlands side of Canmore, with Bow Valley views and the mountains right at the door. The design leans hard into '70s nostalgia — warm wood accents, vintage furnishings, retro touches — mixed with genuinely comfortable modern amenities. It's a short drive from Banff National Park and steps from Cougar Canyon trails, making it a solid base for active trips without sacrificing comfort.
