Crossroads Hotel
Industrial-chic community hub. Exposed brick, reclaimed wood floors, worn leather, and a 4,000-square-foot skylit atrium. Feels like it belongs to the neighborhood as much as to its guests — freelancers at XR in the morning, locals on the rooftop at night.
Complimentary Messenger Coffee station runs daily until noon — don't sleep past it
Why It Matters
First Michelin Key hotel in Missouri. Entirely conceived around local Kansas City artisans, artists, and makers. Named after the historic Pabst Brewing Depot where Percheron horses once hauled wagons of beer — and rumored Prohibition-era bootlegging by Tom Pendergast happened next door.
A four-story, 131-room boutique hotel built inside the 1911 Pabst Brewing Depot and the adjacent Pendergast building in Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District. Opened in 2018 by Aparium Hotel Group, it's wired from the ground up with local makers: wallpaper by tattoo artist Mikey Wheeler, throws from Happy Habitat, chocolates from Christopher Elbow in the private bar, and Messenger Coffee in the lobby. In 2025 it became the first hotel in Missouri to earn a Michelin Key.
