Why It Matters
The only SLH-member hotel in Šibenik, purpose-built on the narrow tip of Mandalina Peninsula with water on three sides. The architecture follows the curve of the land rather than fighting it, and the location next to D-Marin Mandalina — one of Croatia's premier superyacht marinas — gives it a genuinely glamorous maritime energy. Every room has a private balcony and a sea or marina view.
A teardrop-shaped, four-story building wrapped around the tip of Mandalina Peninsula, D-Resort Šibenik looks like it grew out of the rock itself. The design is raw and architectural — rough-hewn concrete and timber outside, hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling glass inside — and almost every room looks straight across the water to Šibenik's medieval old town. Three standalone villas at 150 sqm each, plus a 30 sqm private garden with plunge pool and wooden sun deck. Three bedrooms sleep up to six: two king beds and one double. Open-plan living with floor-to-ceiling windows, a kitchenette with oven and dishwasher, and a private parking spot. There's even a staff room with twin bed and separate kitchen — the villa is effectively self-contained. In-room dining, espresso machine, continental breakfast on request, and priority restaurant reservations included. The only accommodation category open year-round.
