Dar Kandi is a six-room riad dating to 1915 in the Bab Doukkala quarter of the Medina. Its Italian owners took over and completed a thorough renovation in 2018, threading contemporary Italian design sensibility through the traditional Moroccan bones of the building. The result is quietly confident — zellige tilework and cedar woodwork sit alongside clean-lined furnishings, and nothing shouts. Three rooftop terraces give the tiny property an outsized sense of space: one holds the pool and solarium, one is a lounge, and the third is an al fresco dining option. With only six guests rooms, it rarely feels crowded.
