Why It Matters
Two Michelin stars at ÖSCH NOIR (held since 2021, awarded again in 2024) plus one of Germany's largest resort spa complexes and three on-site golf courses including two 18-hole championship layouts. Rare to get all three at this level under one roof.
Der Öschberghof is a 5-star Superior resort sitting on 200-plus hectares in Donaueschingen, on the southern fringe of the Black Forest. Three golf courses (45 holes total) wrap right around the property, the 5,500 sqm SPA & GYM is genuinely sprawling, and the two-Michelin-star ÖSCH NOIR is reason enough to make the drive out here. Rooms are slick and quiet, done in neutral grays with private balconies — modern without being cold. It's about an hour from both Stuttgart and Zurich airports, so not exactly central, but that's part of the appeal.
