Der Sonnenhof is a 5-star wellness resort in the Bavarian Kneipp spa town of Bad Wörishofen, about 75 km southwest of Munich. Its 156 rooms and suites are spread across multiple heritage buildings decorated in a handsome contemporary-classic style. The 3,000 sqm spa is the main event: outdoor infinity pool, three indoor pools, multiple saunas, and a proper medical spa component. Three restaurants cover the range from Bavarian pub fare to Mediterranean to Euro-Asian, and the hotel has just broken free from the Steigenberger franchise in January 2026 to go fully independent.
