Design-Hotel JAMS
Retro rock-and-roll chic meets Haidhausen cool. Dark velvet sofas, brass bar, nostalgic wallpaper, vinyl-groove motifs on the tables. More club than stuffy hotel. Locals actually come to the bar.
Book direct to get breakfast at €15 instead of the walk-in price of €30
Why It Matters
One of Munich's few full-commitment music concept hotels — not just art on the walls but functioning record players, a working vinyl library, live DJ sets in the bar, and a location directly across from the Gasteig cultural centre and Munich Philharmonie. Winner of the MUSE Gold Award for Best Themed Hotel Interior Design.
JAMS is a 4-star music-themed boutique hotel in Munich's Haidhausen district, where the concept goes all the way in. Every floor is a homage to a different music legend, David Bowie rides the elevator with you, and each of the 65 rooms comes with a Crosley record player plus borrowing rights to 250+ LPs from the lobby. The hotel opened in 2016 in the former Hotel Preysing and has since won the MUSE Gold Award, German Brand Award, and Tophotel Newcomer Award.

Mercedes or BMW chauffeur service available for airport transfers (€120 fixed price) and custom arrangements including party shuttles. Book through the hotel directly.
The bar regularly hosts live gigs and DJ sets, contributing to a proper club atmosphere. Events vary — check with the hotel or follow @jamshotel on Instagram for the schedule. These are open to the public, so the bar pulls a local crowd on event nights.
The hotel offers meeting and event spaces — details available on the Meetings & Events page. The restaurant's private room is also bookable for group events.
Stylish Sushi-branded e-bikes with a range of 70km+ available for guests. Good for the English Garden, Nymphenburg Palace, Isar riverside routes, or a quick 5-minute ride to Marienplatz. Helmets included.
Over 250 LPs available to borrow from the lobby, covering rock, pop, jazz, funk, soul, and classical. Every room has a Crosley record player. The records vary in condition — some users report needle wear — so manage expectations, but the concept is genuine.
